After I’d switched off for the day on Wednesday, the poet sent back Chapter 12 of Project Management for Writers: Gate 1 with his contribution in it.
We only had one more full chapter to go on this, and then it was the round-up chapter and the end gubbins.
I would have liked to have finished this by the weekend, and depending on how the rest of today goes, maybe I will… Otherwise, it’s scheduled for completion next week.
[Sighs momentarily at the thought of something being finished early for a change!]
Then I’ll collate all of the Medium chapters together (as they’ve had an extra edit), merge them all together again, and print off a copy for proofreading.
Call to action
And then… it goes off to the beta readers. Let me know if you fancy being a beta reader too! It’s a slim volume, less than 25,000 words, so won’t take a great deal of time… [Said she hopefully.]
You can reply on here or you can send me an email (if you have it), or drop me a message on my Facebook profile (if you’re on there) or on my Facebook page.
Just remember that I don’t have Messenger Mobile so I might not see your FB message straight away.
Oh, and I’m on Twitter too. However, I don’t spend a lot of time on LinkedIn.
Book 1 (Gate 1) is coming out in ebook first and it might be exclusive to Kindle Unlimited for the first 3 months. Then it’s going wide, probably for another 3 months.
At some point we’ll be buying ISBNs for the whole series, and then it’ll be published in a single paperback version.
Once all five books are ready, there will either be an omnibus, where they’re all in one book, or a bundle, where they’ll still be separate.
If it’s a bundle, then there will be a slipcase too. Either way, there might also be a writealong worked example included.
It’s taken less than 6 months to get from that first ‘glimmer’ to now. Hopefully, the next 4 books will be quicker to write as I’m more disciplined with my time than I was when this began.
Thank you for reading, and have a great weekend!
PS Don’t forget to get in touch if you want to be a beta reader.
