I had a late start for Day 4 of NaNo. A VERY late start. And I also had a lot of work to do. However, I still wanted to do my NaNo bit for the day and while it wasn’t the first job, I did manage it in the end.
I wrote 2,728 words on Day 4.
10,523/50,000 words. 21% done!
Before then, though, I had gig list work to do. The poet had already updated the gig list and shared it on Facebook, but there were things that I still had to do too:
- also share the gig list on Facebook ✔️
- close this week’s gig request post to further comments ✔️
- remove this week’s gig request post from ‘announcements’ ✔️
- add this week’s gig list to ‘announcements’ ✔️
- schedule next week’s gig request post asking for next week’s gigs ✔️
The gig list is a lot more work than some would believe. But for as long we still enjoy doing it, we’ll carry on doing it.
Then I went onto Medium and reinstated my membership. I also drafted three stories on there and submitted one of them (a bit of a rant) to one of the publications I sometimes have work in. The other stories will stay in my drafts folder until I finish them and decide where to send them.
Once I’d done that, I finally got around to my NaNo.
Scrivener came back with a fix for their latest update. I wasn’t the only person who mentioned it and it seems they were aware of the problems before I jumped in too. But that’s good news.
By 3pm, Illumination had published the story I sent them on Medium.
The mobile hairdresser turned up to do both our hairs at 4pm, I went to fat club at 7pm, and we had a takeaway when we got home. It’s the only day of the week we have a takeaway now, and it’s usually after my weekly weigh-in.
I was supposed to be taking today off with the poet (and yesterday!), but I still have work to do. I’ll rattle through it as best I can so we still have the weekend.
Y’all have a good one!
