Thursday 31 October 2024: October wrap-up!

I filed my tax return yesterday. Outside of finalising, publishing and sharing yesterday’s blog post, this was the first thing I did. Despite me doing all of the leg work by the end of Tuesday, it still took me some time to negotiate the new boxes on the self-assessment form. But I did it.

The rest of the day was spent reviewing the month of October. I decided against writing a Take One Idea for every month’s-worth of writing prompts, instead pointing to previous suggestions instead.

I didn’t have very much news for October, so I’ll either do a newsletter for November, or round everything up for a special Christmas bumper edition at the end of the year.

I didn’t write any book reviews, but I did read quite a few books.

I didn’t manage to work on a whole story per week either.

I did have a trip away with the poet. I spent a lot of time on the new spreadsheet. And I spent a lot of time on my tax return.

    1. I’m working on the rhythm and it is getting better, more regular, more of a rhythm. But I’m also reducing the number of projects I work on in any one day. I don’t have the energy for so many different projects these days, but nor do I have the need, as you say.
