We didn’t do a great deal at the weekend. We did the shopping on Saturday and nipped in to see the band’s drummer. The next-door neighbour was having his chimney stack lowered, so we had a chat with him. But otherwise, we did nothing.
On Sunday we did even less. I made a trifle to have with our tea. He downloaded some things for his personal computer. And that was all we did.
Monday was publication day for Paper Roses. But the only thing I worked on all day was the proofreading. I want to get that out of the way and one other job so the rest of the month is clear for writing. I shifted 89 pages.
The next-door neighbour finished his chimney job, so we expect the scaffolders to turn up one day this week to take it all down again.
Today I want to finish the hard-copy proofread. But I think it will take me all day to do that.
I have a short story to write by tomorrow but, at the time of writing, I have no idea what I’m going to write. All I have is the title, the length, and the thought that it will probably be a Marcie Craig story.
If I can’t think of anything, though, I might make it a Marshall Jackson near future story. Whatever gets me going.
Short n sweet today. Enjoy Bonfire Night!
